Do we have to talk about it?

Sex Education has been a topic we have all been scared to talk about or sometimes even teach about. The important factor about Sex Education is that it teaches you a lot you need to know. Why should we teach about Sex Education in school? The question is why shouldn't we?

Every year sex education becomes more and more popular in many schools around the world. Sex education helps prevent teen pregnancy; this type of education decreases the amount of teen pregnancies occurring each year. It helps teens in learning how to practice safe sex when they do become sexually active. Many schools who consider having sex education educate students about the consequences and responsibilities of sexual behavior. Sex education can help inform teens about STDs and the risks of having it as well as answering many of the questions teens are dying to know about. This method is considered a valuable tool among teens that are sexually active. Sexual education in the United States should focus in areas such as preventing teen pregnancy, learning about STDs, and practicing safe sex. For me Sex Education taught me a lot that I didn't know because my mom didn't have the guts to tell me soon enough and has helped me ever since. Better safe the sorry.

If he can do it so can we....

Well as I was researching things that interest me it seemed to me that there was a hinderance on what I really wanted to blog about. A lot of topics came to mind; like Nursing and the economic view of having people in the Nursing field; which sounded too bland and boring. I wanted a more interesting topic that would catch the reader attention so I can expand my personal views on how I really feel about the topic. Women Rights caught my attention; I am a huge feminist and I believe that women have the empowerment to do anything men can do and should be treated the same and paid the same also taken seriously when it comes to our judgments and suggestions. Women should have right to be treated the same in any part of the country; women should not be judged on their knowledge or their intelligence or even how they look. From the early years woman had to endure and go through rejections and disputes to fit in a category and was never equivalent to men. We as women come across big problems everyday of our life; adoption, abortion, rape, abuse and other attributes in life that come along with being a woman. Whether we are working woman, single moms, and everyday woman in the world we still have to come together and make a change. Woman have been categorized and treated different because of their looks, intelligence and other non- factors categories that doesn't even define us. In different countries as well as the United States women still or not equally treated. They are subject to do things to fit in the society as well be accepted to men; I have only been on this earth 20 years of my life and I feel like I have to open up more to what I have to say just to get heard or I feel like I am subject to do what a man does just to show that women can also do it. We as women have to stand up not only for our rights but, respect and acknowledgement men have been subject to do better from the early years or have a more affect in history then women. Don't you think is time for a change? I think so.
