Sex Education has been a topic we
have all been scared to talk about or sometimes even teach about. The important
factor about Sex Education is that it teaches you a lot you need to know. Why
should we teach about Sex Education in school? The question is why shouldn't
we?
Every year sex education becomes
more and more popular in many schools around the world. Sex education helps
prevent teen pregnancy; this type of education decreases the amount of teen
pregnancies occurring each year. It helps teens in learning how to practice
safe sex when they do become sexually active. Many schools who consider having
sex education educate students about the consequences and responsibilities of
sexual behavior. Sex education can help inform teens about STDs and the risks
of having it as well as answering many of the questions teens are dying to know
about. This method is considered a valuable tool among teens that are sexually
active. Sexual education in the United States should focus in areas such as
preventing teen pregnancy, learning about STDs, and practicing safe sex. For me Sex Education taught me a lot that I didn't know because my mom didn't have the guts to tell me soon enough and has helped me ever since. Better safe the sorry.
